A collective of four Italian composers—Andrea Agostini, Daniele Ghisi, Eric Maestri and Andrea Sarto—/nu/thing is first and foremost a discussion space, in the form of a blog, dealing with all subjects that touch upon, from near or far, with today's music (contemporary by necessity) and more alive than ever.
The syllable "nu", around which these artists gather, represents both the sound, designated by the corresponding Greek letter, symbol of frequency, a kind of "eighth note", as well as the potential pitch that Guido d'Arezzo would have chosen if he had pursued his denomination of the notes according to the Hymn to Saint John.
