
Trained at the Haute École de musique de Lausanne, the Hochschule für Musik Basel, at the Haute École de musique de Genève (with Michael Jarrell, Luis Naón, and Georg Friedrich Haas), and at IRCAM (Cursus 2015-2016), the Swiss Kevin Juillerat leads a double career as a saxophonist (in the fields of classical and contemporary music, but also of contemporary and improvised music) and as a composer. He is a founding member of the company Too hot to hoot? and of the Duo Ekla with pianist Violaine Debever. He is composer in residence at ICST Zürich in 2019, at IRCAM in 2021-2022, and artist in residence at the Canton of Vaud in Berlin in 2020.
Kevin Juillerat is co-artistic director of Fracanaüm - season of sound creations in Lausanne and programmer of the festival Label Suisse.
